Exterior Window Colors
Although the color of home siding gets the most attention, the shade of accents, such as trim or window frame exterior, can drastically affect the overall aesthetic of the home. Because of this, colors for window exteriors are designed to complement or neatly contrast with the color of siding. Several options are required for different color siding from vibrant to muted and conservative.
White
The most common color of siding is also the favorite color for exterior windows. Shades of exterior window range from pure white to darker off-white colors that hide dirt and require a less strenuous cleaning schedule. Manufacturing companies use names such as Becker Window’s off-white Ivory and Infinity Window’s pure Stone White or off-white Sierra.
Gray
Compatible with both light and dark siding color schemes, gray is available from several manufacturers in several shades. Dark grays include Infinity Window’s Bronze shade and Pella’s Eldridge Gray. Medium grays include Pella’s Fossil and Infinity’s Pebble Gray. All grays are compatible with white, blue and red siding.
Tan
Shades of tan are organic and range from sandy light colors to darker ones that appear as baked clay. Shades include Becker Window’s Mocha and Beige to the muted Cashmere from Infinity and the natural wooden color Honeysuckle from Pella. Continue reading
